“From the moment we walked into The Weaving Shed for our first visit we knew it was our wedding venue – we didn’t view anywhere else as we were so sold on it from the first viewing.
The space is perfect, with everything set up the day before you don’t need to worry about them needing to reset for meals or dancing, and that makes the whole day feel less stressful overall. Our guests couldn’t stop commenting on how much they loved the venue either.
The venue really does speak for itself, and we didn’t think it needed much styling, however Hamish let us take pretty much full reigns of the venue to style it how we wanted and this was a big bonus.
Nothing was ever too much for Hamish. He was super attentive but also super relaxed – you can tell he really knows his stuff and we felt in really good hands from our first conversation with him. His team are amazing too, and on the day the whole thing went so smoothly.
We really can’t fault anything, and we can’t recommend The Weaving Shed enough!!

“We chose The Weaving Shed as our wedding venue (ceremony and reception) and I am so glad we did. The venue is lovely – it’s a blank canvas to style as you want but with exposed beams and brick walls, handmade wooden tables and fairy lights which make a great starting point. There are different spaces to use for ceremony, meal and reception and it’s large enough to accommodate lots of guests. The team are all amazing – friendly and welcoming, they ensure your day runs smoothly. The central location is really useful as well. Our day here was memorable and we would definitely recommend the venue!”
“As soon as we walked into The Weaving Shed we knew this is where we would be married! We love a bit of DIY and knew we would want to make all the decor and dress the place ourselves, although the venue itself is so full of character it really doesn’t need much.
Hamish was so easy to work with and nothing was too much trouble for him, and the rest of the staff who were there on our day were all brilliant.
Our guests absolutely loved the place, it was such a convenient location for our mostly Dundee based guests and so many of them couldn’t believe they hadn’t heard of The Weaving Shed before! Don’t think it will be a hidden gem for much longer.

“My wife and I hosted our wedding reception at The Weaving Shed and honestly cannot thank Hamish and the team enough. From start to finish, the experience was incredible. Hamish is amazing at what he does – I can’t imagine many venue owners being as accommodating and supportive as he was.
When we first viewed The Weaving Shed, Hamish took the time to ask about our plans, any specific requirements we had, and how we could bring those ideas to life. That initial visit made such a strong impression on us that we booked a date soon after.
One of the best parts of the planning process was being able to visit the venue as often as we needed (which was quite a few times!) to sort out details like decorations, seating arrangements, and where our caterers would set up. Hamish was always happy to help, offering suggestions and making the whole experience both easy and enjoyable.
When it came time to decorate, Hamish once again went above and beyond – even climbing up a ladder to help us hang drapes, among other things. At the same time, he gave us space when we needed it, which was greatly appreciated.
On the big day, the staff were phenomenal – friendly, professional, and attentive. It honestly made such a difference knowing we were in good hands and could fully relax and take it all in. Our guests were all really happy with the drinks selection and the service at the bar too – we got loads of compliments about how good the day was and so much of that was down to the staff.
Overall, we couldn’t recommend The Weaving Shed highly enough. It strikes the perfect balance between giving you the freedom to make your wedding uniquely yours, while also providing the support and guidance to bring it all together. The venue itself is stunning, and the space is just perfect for the celebration.”
